This installment is about young & upcoming bands. EDIT: or just bands of new era, XXI century

Well well well... What do we have here? A promising band from Bulgaria, you say? Playing venomous Thrash in vein of Kreator?

Well, Bulgaria is something of an underrated hero in Metal world. It doesn't have seminal bands like their neighbours, but if you give them chance, you'll find plenty of gems.

Terravore officially started in the godless year of 2015 and get it, they play in the same line-up since their inception, which is pretty rare, and other young groups should take notice. Almost all of the members played previously in another Thrash / Death project, Mass Cremation.

Terravore quickly released an EP "Apocalyptic Impact" (2016), which was never released on CD (booo). And only year later they recorded their first full length "Unforeseen Consequences" (2017). I did listen a little of it, but honestly, I don't quite like listening to the stuff on the internet. I need the real deal.

For some reason they released a load of "promo singles", but I guess this is a sign of times. Anyway, for their second LP we had to wait a little, "Vortex of Perishment" (2020, but thankfully, I managed to grab it, courtesy of Punishment 18 Records. And finally I can write something about the music.

The band prefers longer, complex structures, happily being inspired by the old teutonic reich. Stylistically it's somewhere in the middle between Thrash and Death, with proper amount of blood and violence, but performed ultra-professionally.

However, the real gem is released 4 years later, and again by Punishment 18, a modern classic, "Spiral of Downfall" (2024). Formula didn't change for a bit, again the band delivers meaty 5-minute compositions in german style, but there is an audible improvement in riff department, structuring the songs, and lirycal confidence. It's possible that the reason for that lies in adding a little pinch of Sepultura to their recipe, as the character in the presentation clearly shows and throws a punch.

What more to add? Keep going, and till next time!
