Beyond Metal: Google Sux
Today it will be short and concise - fuck google + some words about the alternative for this rotting junk. In general, I avoid google products, whenever I can. But putting me aside, over half of my readership is using chrome (which makes me sad) and I guess that majority of you are still using this outdated browser. Since the beginning of this blog I wanted to reach the widest possible audience I could, so I was learning about improving everything and about making my blog easier to find.
After 6 months dealing with this crap and I said "enough". My blog basically doesn't exist according to google. It's quite possible that I do something wrong (I know about GSC etc.), and ironically, I can't find anything on the web that could help me with anything. I am a little tired of the constant back-and-forth struggle with google, so I decided to repay them for the trouble. Indeed, to put it with pathos - I have a luciferian attitude - I'd rather be thrown into the deepest depths of hell, rather than kneel before Mr. Absolute Master and Lord of your every fiber.
In general, since some time I was reading that for some time already, google actually consciously hides the blogs, making them invisible for you, and that if you want to exist, you have to pay (lol), or promote yourself through other domains (hence insta account). Thing is, the browser itself has its best years long time behind them. Same with chrome. Think about it: how many cool things let you by only, because you stubbornly cling to google out of habit?
Accordingly to the name of this blog, everything changes. The change is not only a good thing, it's sometimes necessary, just like ie. changing your clothes (preferably on a daily matter). There are numerous alternatives to google's shite and I decided to give them some free advertisment, just like that. Sure, one could say "isn't it exchaning one corporation for another?". After all, we kinda live in neo-feudalism, where everyone has their overlord to whom they have to pay a tribute, but the only thing that I care about is one thing - whether the option fulfills my expectations. If I have a query, I damn right want to have the best results possible. And until the corporation is not playing with politics, I don't care about the rest. That's all about the intellectual discourse, not let me present (and recommend) some of the better substitutes below (click and the page will open in the new tab):
Bing - my personal weapon of choice and probably the best option for today.
Duckduckgo - apparently it doesn't track you, but not really. Still, it tracks you less than google.
Yandex - russian, so it's an option for people who like free stuff (I have of course a disgust for piracy, and want to discourage from that).
Yahoo - old, but still gold. The first browser ever, and still working?
Startpage - I learned about them by accident, as some of you my beloved readers, are actually using it, for which I am thankful. Lol, as a matter of fact, this browser did more good for me than google ever did.
Searx - kinda experimental. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks interesting.
There are more, but I feel that the above options are sufficient enough.
And if you like me even a tiny bit, please seriously consider moving on from google (if you haven't already). And instead of chrome, here are the alternatives, beside Firefox obviously):
Brave - full respect for privacy
Vivaldi - strong browser, requires a good computer.
Opera - survivor, one of the older, that refused to die.
Let me put it this way: the more you will feed the moloch, the more it will bully us, the creator. Therefore, we have an obligation to refuse and resist. Cheers, and till the next time.
