Anatomia POL: Kingdom

I didn't stop being lazy, so another post in english, so the other people can understand me, and my screeches.

Anyway. Let's open a wine. Finally, I can wave my Polish flag in everyone's faces. Because there are reasons to be proud. A great Polish band in a great French label.

This band was slowly rising in the ranks, going through various obscure Polish labels, like Godz ov War, Hellthrasher, or Old Temple (all of them deserve love and respect, if you never heard of them, shame on you). And finally, about time, their newest album was released on Osmose Records. I am a simple man. I see Osmose Logo, I buy it, simple as. I don't have to think, because this label released so many cult bands, that I simply lost count. To see the most promising modern Polish band among their ranks? Pride and hapiness. Congrats Kingdom on being there, I hope it's not a one-off.

Kingdom is a very peculiar band, because they represent and capture the new wave to the fault, but they do it in the right way. There is a lot of focus on having a proper distortion on the guitars, and building up the atmosphere. The band is really meticulous about creating a proper mysterium, a black mass of sorts, and I'm glad that that their international debut did not abandon that. If you never heard it, you are about to hear a treat. You're welcome btw.

They also like to have at least one song in native language, and that's really great, because Polish language was created by satan himself, so it fits. For some strange reason, the band also likes to have overlong titles of their songs, or albums. I'm not fan of this gimmick, but it could have been worse.

I'm not really sure if the Deicide cover was necessary, especially that Decapited did it first, but I guess that it was some marketing interference.

Open up your ears and enjoy the greatest album in the last 10 years here, and don't forget to support the band. If you won't, all you'll be left with, will be some boring stuff like Black Dahlia Murder, and we really wouldn't like that?
