Anatomia BIH: Bombarder

Laziness won another day, so you will read this in only one language, maybe I should abandon my native language for clicks? No, I shall not. But there is a battle inside.

Anyway, today I want to talk about something really peculiar. For reasons unknown to the universe, I decided to write about Bosnian Motorhead. Because if I don't write about it, who will?

Formed when Bosnia was called Yugoslavia, this is full on extreme Metal. Sure, you can call it Speed Metal, Thrash Metal, or Heavy Metal, or even Proto-Death Metal, but you will never call it Power Metal. This is heavy, this is extreme, and it deserves a listen.

The logo you see on the cover is a symbol of Zapan (AFAIR, but I don't really care about demonology, so I might have mixed something up). It's a demonic entity that makes your farts explode buildings, but I wouldn't vouch for that. Anyway, it's a simple, basic Speed Metal album that makes your ears cry the tears of joy.

I do prefer their second album "Bez milosti" (No Love), as it's more refined the second time. Both were re-released by Deathrash Armageddon. There are lyrics and basic info, but unfortunately no extra liner notes. I certainly would like to know some context and the hardships that the band went through, to release it, especially that Yugoslavian wars stopped their career for a whole decade (they returned after everything went back to normal).

I've found this gem by accident, because I always check every band in every online shop, so I can be smarter with my purchases. Otherwise, I would probably be oblivious, and this would be a waste, because this is a really really neat record.

Below you can hear it for yourself. This was actually posted by my good friends from Heavy Metal Easten Bloc (read about them, and later subscribe, unless you're a poseur):
